Making headlines by selling his company and app Summly to Yahoo, Nick D'Aliosio was still a pupil at a high school in South London while rising to the top of the tech world. Summarizing, Summly’s main functionality, has been around forever, Nick tells Matthew, yet was never more needed then today with the daily information overload. What made Summly so unique is the back-end approach where we use linguists and human interpretation combined with the digital algorithm of metrics. We are referred to as the digital native generation, growing up with Google and programming. With a wide variety of apps available on the app store and everyone equally being able to submit an app, our generation is growing up with the notion that we can create a company Nick states.
